keep windows in right place while editing dashboard

HI all

I'm trying to make sure my apps window does not move when the Dashboard widgets get modified (customizing which widgets are displayed, etc). All the screen windows move up when this happens, but my app is there to be displayed around the pointer... to help see it better... but if the graphic moves, it defeats the purpose. So I,d like either to find out that dashboard is being called or some other creative thing.

Any ideas? I've got a bunch of visually impaired users which find this quite annoying!

- Renaud
