Hmm...  I just mean XcodeTools.mpkg... I did have to reinstall Tiger (A&I) at some point for an unrelated issue. It's possible though that my memory is playing tricks on me and I didn't get it working until after I reinstalled. I don't think that's the case, but it's probably worth a shot if you run out of other options. It sounds to me from your description of the console errors (I never thought to check there), that there's some library that isn't being initialized for the first time properly. how to do that i have no idea though.

I've done both (twice), rebooting, too, and it seems to have no effect. Are you referring to XcodeTools.mpkg or another 'dev tools' installation? In the console I get these messages:

CIPointillize: calculateOpacities: nil value for key definition
CIGloom: gloom: nil value for key definition

...for whatever function I select, and nothing happens.
