Oops.. I mistyped my sentence.

Mail 2 mysteriously incorrectly reports the number of unread messages
in the left hand column, is what I meant.  I suck sorry guys.

It seems to only happen with my iMap accounts.  Thanks for the link to
the bug reporting.
