Hi,

I know that NSImage doesn't have support for layered Photoshop files, however, QuickTime does. You might ask the QuickTime list, or look through some of the QuickTime sample code. I don't think it handles text layers, or layers with effects (drop shadow, bevel, etc.) but it should work well for simple layered PSD's.
