I think we are going to need to know a more about what you are doing
to help. A few questions that come to mind...
When you say "during awake from nib method?" whose awakeFromNib
method are you talking about?
Are you attempting to use the "default" about box provided by Cocoa
or have you created your own using Interface Builder (IB)?
If you are using IB and you are attempt to change things in the panel
programatically are you using bindings or setting up outlets
correctly such that you can get at the view elements you are trying
to change?
