Has anyone been able to add a menu with submenus properly to an
NSPopUpButton?

You know, I'm selling these fine NSOutlineViews... ;-)

And with every order, you get a free copy of Apple's Human
Interface Guidelines ... :-p

Specifically,

OSXHIGuidelines/XHIGControls/chapter_18_section_3.html#//apple_ref/ doc/
uid/TP30000359-TPXREF132>

But, of course, Apple breaks this one in the Print dialog (which they use
as an example!) - take a look at the Printer popup menu. Go figure.

That being said, the fact that Interface Builder specifically prevents you
from adding a submenu to a PopUpButton really should suggest that you
shouldn't be doing that. You probably need to rethink your UI design if
you're going that deep. What's the situation, exactly?
