Indeed it is not, though perhaps for not the reason you thought. The critical issue is that the Keychain Access program gives the user the ability to export keys pretty easily, which means that in most cases the user would simply be able to export any "secret" you kept there and pass it on to other people, which presumably is what you are trying to avoid.
