I hope you do not intend go any lower than "good old plain sockets". If you are content with
- socket
- connect
- bind
- listen
- accept
- ...
then just use any *NIX source about "socket programming". It works the very same way on Mac OS X.
"Advanced Mac OS X Programming" (second edition of "Core Mac OS X and Unix Programming" ) from "big nerd ranch" has very nice chapter about it ( Chapter 11 (13 in first edition). Network Programming with Sockets).
Actually you can learn a lot about these APIs just by using "man"
