Hello,

I am looking for someone willing to help finishing up the coding of an open source application related to typography.

Some remaining User Interfaces needs coding with Interface Builder and the Cocoa frameworks.
The generous developer helping me out on this great project is tied up with his schedule right now but has specific descriptions of the modules to be coded.

Some information about the application in development:

It's an app that will allow type users to easily and fast find fonts for their job.

This app will work as a stand alone app in the user's computer as well as online on a website

This app works with a database of adjectives/keywords related to fonts as well as full description such as style of the font, name of the font designer, country of origin, date of creation, foundery where font is available.

The user friendly side of this App. is that to find the right font for the right job, users will enter one or several adjectives describing the look of the font in a search field and a display window will displays an image of the appropriate fonts.

There is a "mother database" of keywords (that serves as a reference for finding fonts) which I am filling up with datas myself and a customize database for creating your own keywords and make your own font-keyword related database that users will nourish.

The customized database can be shared among type users.

Upgrades of mother database is sent on a regular basis.
Customized user's database can be uploaded to a specific web site so that everyone can access it and download it to their computer.

Basically the concept is about "tagging fonts" universally

User Interface

After trying out several different versions, we are working on a UI similar to iTune

How far are we along ?

That part I will leave to the developer who is helping me out to answer in full, what I can say is that structure and UI is here, and some additional coding needs to be done. We are close to finishing up ( before testing) but the last couple of days needed are tough on him as he is swamped on other things.
I am not saying much about technically what's left to be done but I am a type user not a dev sorry about this ;-)
As soon as I receive answers from engineers interested I will forward them to the developper who will go into details.

Thanks in advance

Regards
Denis
