The previous reply talks about "linking framework".
This error:
Tool:0: Command /usr/bin/gcc-4.0 failed with exit code 1

appears when your project is within a folder named with one or more
spaces as like "My Projects Folder". You should need to use a name
without spaces. I'm not sure if that's a problem with only gcc 4
but....this is the solution.
