Binding date formatters to user's locale date format preferences?

  • Subject: Binding date formatters to user's locale date format preferences?

Hello:

Is it possible to set the formatter of a bound text field to a user's locale date format preferences using IB, or does it have to be done programmatically?

I would like to have it so that the date format for some text fields in my app to to have the format set according to the "short" date format the user sets in their language/local preferences. (e.g. MM/DD/ YYYY versus DD/MM/YYYY).

Many thanks,

John
