Are you wanting a way of embedding the whole search window in your application? Or, do you simply want an NSOutlineView that looks and behaves like the spotlight one?

The latter. I'd like to be able to present Spotlight results the way that Spotlight presents them -- with collapsible previews, thumbnails for certain filetypes, etc.

You would, of course, have to fill in the data. Conceptually the spotlight outlineview is a normal outlineview, with certain cells that appear to take up the entire row (IE: a group-able outlineview).

It seems like a lot more than that to me!

Thanks,
Hamish
