I'm sure this is simple and I'm totally overlooking it but can someone point me in the right direction on this one? My app is similar in layout to iCal in that I have an Info button in the lower left corner. I really like how iCal's Info button triggers the NSSplitView to animate upward and stop at a certain point (even remember last dragged position). Any thoughts?

Look into NSViewAnimation on Tiger. Also, there are some examples on the apple developer site. "iSpend" has some simple view animation examples. But I also know that Troy Stephens did a good one for his last WWDC talk, and you should be able to find it too.
