I would like to bring your attention to this weekends Seattle Code Camp.

Code camp is a Seattle developer community event, although the majority of content is geared to Windows there are four Macintosh related presentations scheduled this coming weekend.

In particular I would like to bring your attention to a presentation of Apple's ACG:

-----

4:45 to 6PM Saturday, October 22nd

Apple's Advanced Computation Group
Richard E. Crandall, Apple Distinguished Scientist

The ACG was formed to solve difficult algorithm problems for both Apple products and Apple customers. Such problem areas range from compression to encryption to video to hard science. Richard Crandall, who leads the ACG, will describe what life is like when algorithms of considerable difficulty routinely cross one's desk.
