This is in the context of trying to find the size of a directory,
using Carbon. If there's a better way nowadays, please tell me so I
can stop worrying about this unexciting part of the application.

These FSRefs are returned by FSGetCatalogInfoBulk; I'm getting this
catalog info on items from an FSIterator. I can post the code if you'd
like; it's cobbled together from various posts in the archives.
