ANN: TOE - A Library for MIDI Programming

For people interested in writing simple MIDI applications, I invite you to take a look at my ongoing MIDI programming library project TOE:

Some of TOE's highlights: it is built using SWIG so it can be called from Python and Scheme (the Chicken implementation) currently (and other languages with a bit more work). It can also be called from Objective C and used Cocoa applications. It currently handles device name resolution and persistence, system exclusive message transfers, and (symbolic) bank and patch name and MIDI name document (i.e., .midnam files). More functions will be added as the library evolves. TOE is released under a liberal software license.
