NSRulerView's style pulldown.

Is there a supported way to get the entries from the styles pulldown in NSRulerView? I've noticed that the values are stored in ~/Library/ Preferences/.GlobalPreferences.plist , but I'd rather use a supported method for getting those entries and the fonts behind them.
