time-triggered-function

Hi all,
I am writing an Objective C application at the moment and I have a function
which I would like to call at certain interval (specified by user), let say,
every 5 minutes, whenever the application is running. I was wondering how I
could do that in Objective-C, if possible without needing to write script?
Please enlighten me on this issue.
 Thanks for your time.

Regards
David
