Question about associating file types to applications

  • Subject: Question about associating file types to applications

All,

Applications may be associated with certain file extensions in the Info
panel of theFinder. Ideally, when installing an application on a user machine you
would want tohave this association performed automatically, however, perhaps by the
application's installer.

Using Applescript perhaps?

So what is the recommended way to perform this association and is the file
extension the only way to associate application documents with applications?

Thanks a lot!
