Assuming you are editing in a NIB...
The only flavor of popup that I found built-in icon support for was
the Pulldown (Square & Shadowless Square) variety.
- Double-click the pulldown to get the menu items to display
- Click-drag one of the existing menu items onto the pulldown itself
to make it the default
- Drag-drop the icon onto the pulldown menu to apply the icon to the
default menu item
(or type the icon name into the inspector window field for that
pulldown menu item)
- Repeat the above for each menu item.
Enjoy,
Lance

I have a popup button in my app, and wish to add icons to the
various menu items. However, I can't figure out how to do this
exactly. Is it possible to create a new menu item and image at the
same time (the icons are located in the usual place in the app's
bundle by the way), or do I have to create the menu item and the
add the icon?
Any help much appreciated,
Mike.
