Why wait until runtime to figure that out (i.e. the type of processor
that you're compiling for is known at compile time):
Purely because I'm that kind of person - I don't have a DTK and am
not about to get one - I wonder what happens if you determine the
arch at runtime from a PPC binary running on an x86 Darwin with
rosetta...
