Newbie Q : show line numbers

   Hello all,

 can anyone tell me the way to implement programmatically "show line
numbering" (as in Xcode Preferences>Text Editing>Display  Options) in
a Cocoa-constructed text editor ? I browsed
through the methods of the classes NSTextView and NSTextContainer but
I was unable to find the solution to my problem.
