Core Video, anyone?

Hi, Im new to this list, but has been programming cocoa and objective- c for a while.

Anyone here into the new Core Video "framework"? I've read the docs at developer.apple but that's about all I could find.
Im intrested in building some kind of easy to use, pluggable framework which can playback formats quicktime normally cannot. From file to NSView, that is :)

My current implementation builds upon the ffmpeg library and uses no less than five threads to manage the A/V chain from file to view. Would be much better to use this new Core Video thing, having shared buffers and all.

Here's what I'm talking about:

Cheers

/Rasmus
