PDFView bindings disabled in Interface Builder

If I drag a PDFView into a window, all bindings are disabled except for canGoToNextPage and canGoToPreviousPage. This is using Interface Builder 2.5.1 (439).

I was hoping to bind document to a PDFDocument in my model object.

Am I missing something, or is this a bug in IB?
