Hi All,

I am trying to revise "legacy" BasicInputMethod code so that a component (written in C using Carbon) can communicate with a Cocoa-based UI server written in Obj-C. In the old code, communication between the two is via a CFMessagePort. I am wondering how you could structure the UI sever to receive such messages. Could it use NSPort or NSMessagePort and work OK? If so, could someone provide a brief example of what the communication would look like. (I am fairly new to Cocoa and even newer to Carbon.)

I don't see any good reason to change this.

You can use CFMessagePort with Cocoa and it's damn good and very fast.
