Add Login Item/Invoke Menu Items Action

  • Subject: Add Login Item/Invoke Menu Items Action

I am trying to programatically add a Login Item. I can do this so the item runs, but it doesn't set the dock "Open at Login" menu- item's check-mark correctly, and I was looking for another way to do this that would set the mark correctly. It appeared that the AliasData I created programatically wasn't the right form for the System to recognize the application in the dock as the one in the LoginWindow plist. Leaving it out, as most examples showed, didn't work either.

So I am trying to figure out how to send a message to the action method for my application's Dock Menu's "Open at Login" menu item.

Can anyone point me to some sample code or documentation for doing this?

Thanks,

Bill Patterson
