Assistance with authentication

Hello, One of my applications copies files, and sometimes those files have permissions that mean an NSFileManager copy will not work. Now of course I would like to remedy this but I just cannot wrap my head around authservices. Can any one out there help me to write a helper tool that will copy these files with admin privs? And of course assist me with the glue?
