Hi,
my Interface Builder is 2.5.3 also and I looked a bit into this.
Please look at the inspector you have active, when you drag items
from Menus Palette. If you see NSPopUpButton inspector (which is what
you get if you just click on the popup), dragging fails, but if you
doubleclick the popup, you'll see NSMenuItem inspector, and then you
should be able to drag a new item form the palette into your popup at
desired location.
Let us know, what happens!

Hi--
I just tried each of these methods. I'm using Xcode 2.2 with Interface
Builder 2.5.3, and when the Popup is selected, no + or - buttons
appear in
my inspector under any heading.
I also tried dragging menu items to the popup from both the Cocoa
Menus
palette, and from the actual menu itself. Neither worked.
This can't be this hard to do...

the '+' and '-' buttons at the bottom of the inspector let me add as
many as I liked.

This one got me at first too. Drag menu items from the menu pallet
into your popup. I think you may have to have the popup showing the
menu for this to work.

Hi--
n00B here (sorry). I'm just building my first interface, and find
that when
I look in the Attributes for a pop-up menu, it doesn't show how
to add
additional items to the menu other than the default number of
three. I
looked through the help files, and that doesn't say either.
Am I missing something? I just need to add three more items to my
menu for a
total of six selections.
Thanks :)
Jonathan
