Dock Menus

I was wondering how I can add Dock Menus to my application icon in the dock when users click on the application and remain on that icon. Something like iTunes menu when you don't want to open the app but switch the song. Mail also uses these menus. I don't know if this is a nib trick or if there is actual code that brings up the menu. Anyone know of the class or code i can use?
