Slightly OT: Jam tool and Intel building

Hi all,

I realize this is slightly OT, but I haven't seen it
discussed anywhere, and figured someone here was
likely to have encountered it...

I have an older project (Project Builder, originally)
which has been carried forward into Xcode 1, and now
2.2. When I try to build it on Intel (and it's only
building on Intel, not running a PPC-built universal
binary), I get a build error which says:

Command /Developer/Private/jam failed with exit code 1

Has anyone encountered this? I'd be glad to turn of
jam and use a more modern tool, but I can't figure out
how...

Any thoughts would be most appreciated.

Thanks!
