Or one could expect that users reading the documentation would
actually read the whole page, thus noticing the big box at the bottom
of every page asking "Did this document help you?" in bold letters..

When people won't even read the whole document, I find their comments
regarding omissions in the documentation to be both amusing and
frustrating (the latter on behalf of tech pubs, mostly).
