Try experimenting with toolbars (Mail's toolbar is a good example). Use the Flexible Space item in the customization panel. If the last two (right-most) items are the flexible space item and your search bar, your search bar will always stay right-aligned.

Hello everybody,

I was wondering how can I add a NSSearchField aligned to the right corner of an NSToolbar and I couldn't find any docs on this. Thanks.

Kind regards,
