changing NSComboBox number of visible items

  • Subject: changing NSComboBox number of visible items

i would like to be able to change the number of visible items dynamically in the popup window(/cell ?) of an NSComboBox while the popup is up (kinda like xcode code sense completion).

empiracally, this doesn't seem possible simply by calling setNumberOfVisibleitems.

is there some other way to accomplish this? or should this work and this is simply a bug?

thanx,
ken
