Even Preview can do it :)
It sounds like what this guy wants to do is write a simple app that
sits in the PDF Services folder in the Library. When people go to
print, they can pick something like "Save as JPEG" from the PDF
menu. The app is then simply asked to open the PDF file, which it
then converts to JPEG.

believe apps like Photoshop can do it, so it's certainly a solvable
