Any more details? I'd be kind of worried overriding something so critical. Is -run complicated, or easy to implement?

Does anyone have any sample code for this?

Is there any way to disable or preempt this exception handler and any other ones Cocoa may use that are contrary to my goal?

Yes, but it involves subclassing NSApplication and overriding -run so you can handle the exceptions yourself. But there's probably a few pitfalls to overriding -run, so be careful.
