How do I know if a file is a system link?

I'm enumerating a directory and don't want to "follow"
syslinks/aliases. So I plan to use FSIsAliasFile for Finder aliases
but I need something for syslinks. I used "apropos" to look for
something that Unix might have that would work but was unable to find
anything useful.
