The discount asset expires after a while. That would be a clear enough sign to me that Apple doesn't want you to trade it. If they wanted you to be able to keep this discount for longer, they would make them last longer.

I received once a notification, that an asset can be migrated from an expired account
to a refreshed account. An Apple employee asked me to refresh a Select account to
get my expired assets back.


Don't know, if this is a standard policy.
