Yes, and I'm still mystified why the timeout isn't throwing an
error; if
NSAppleScript somehow doesn't obey timeouts, that would be yet another
failure on its part. m.

Getting back to the original question—anyone have any luck with
scripting iTunes via an AppleEvents API that does honor timeouts and
the like?
If so, any pointers would be extremely welcome. I haven't used low-
level AppleEvents very much (other than the Standard Four Handlers).
