I've noticed this problem too, and as you I am SURE that my code does not cause any pause. I did not take time to analyse the problem, so please keep me informed of any strange thing ;)

The first time I control-click to evoke the menu, there is a 7 second delay before the menu appears. On subsequent clicks there is no delay. As far as I can tell, this delay is not caused by my code, but occurs after my method returns the NSMenu.
Can anyone suggest an explanation for this, or a solution?
