Anyone know of a core image filter for magnifying an image? Filter application is: an image of, say, 1000x1000 pixels is displayed in a 256x256 box. When the user moves the mouse over a particular part of the image, he sees a circular patch magnified (displayed at the original resolution).

In the Core Image session at WWDC 2005, there was an example of an Image Unit that did exactly that, and also generated a bezel. Check the Core Image sample code, it might be there.
