Dear Cocoa-dev People,
I turned off unnecessary focus ring redrawing which minimized the problem. The
focus ring was being redrawn by my code (without having been invalidated) each
time the caret blinked. But I think that the best approach would have been to
expand the item with focus, so its interior could accomodate the caret. I'll
try doing that somewhere down the road.
