No not really... no forward or backwards really exists. This isn't
Java with constructors but Objective-C which don't even have a
forced instance initializer. Providing an initializer is a matter
of defining the contract you expect (document) and any method could
be one that you designate that must be called one way or another
for the class to initialized.
Anyway what you had (as outline in your prior email) is perfectly
fine.
