NSWindow customized texture

In the IB there's a flag for NSWindow "has texture" which allows metal texture.

Some Apple applications, like iTunes, has a different texture (neither
"plain" nor "metal").

1) Is it possible to switch to other kinds of textures?

2) Is it possible to "reasonably" build an "home-made" texture?
