If you are writing your own classes that will employ delegates, you should be aware of a couple of rules (from http://cocoadev.com/ index.pl?RulesOfThumb):


* A delegating class should not retain its delegate.
* A delegating class should clean up its delegate references by calling [self setDelegate:nil] before destroying itself.
