The C Programming Language (2nd Edition) (Paperback)
by Brian W. Kernighan, Dennis Ritchie, Dennis M. Ritchie

from Amazon.  They have it in stock, and it is a decent C book.

That said, I would strongly consider the prebuilt vector class in C+ +, or the NSMutableArray Cocoa class.
