Even if you couldn't set it up directly in IB, I think subclasses is overkill here. In this situation I'd just wire up the cell programatically in -awakeFromNib or -windowDidLoad.


But you can set up the custom cell in IB. First drag a NSTextFieldCell to your column, select the cell via the configuration widget in the top right of the column header, and set its custom class as usual.
