UTI tree

  • Subject: UTI tree
  • From: Hamish Allan <email@hidden>

What is my best way to obtain the current tree of known UTIs? Is there a better way than doing an NSMetadataQuery for (kMDItemContentType == *) with setValueListAttributes: (kMDItemContentType), then calling UTTypeCopyDeclaringBundleURL() for each UTI, reading the Info.plist, and constructing the tree yourself?

Thanks,
Hamish
