I would like to be notified when that view is no longer visible.

Are you doing some kind of animation or something?

Nope. I am pinning a Carbon window to a view and I want to know when to tell the window to hide itself.

I do not want to use the NSTabView delegate notifications.

Why not? That's what they're for.

I will use them if I have to. I was just hoping for solution that is self-contained in the NSView subclass that isn't dependent on a tabview.
