Thanks; my question sounds a little stupid now that I look back at what I asked.

For the window background, all you have to do is call "setBackgroundColor:" on the window.

I guess this is my principal question: from where do I call setBackgroundColor? A window controller object init method?

Not wanting to be too pedantic but, given the following definitions, maybe you mean override?

You're absolutely right; I'm still thinking in C++, not ObjC. Thanks again~
