You can work from the available code if you like to build upon it; but I am
in the process of updating it. It has two issues, first some of the
QuickTime functions have been deprecated with 10.4u SDK, this was the easy
issue to fix. The second issue like Delicious Library we were setting a
short focus to make the barcode large and clear, (they did an update a few
days ago and changed that) this only worksd with the external iSight. The
new cameras built into the iMacs and MacBooks have a fixed focus that is
further out; this means working with a smaller barcode where the thin lines
can blur into each other. Tweaking the algorithm in the project above will
make it work as is, but not as reliable as we would like; you need a steady
hand and good light. So we are reworking the algorithm as well.
Regards,
Conor.
